This academically challenging course includes instruction on topics such as atomic structure, thermodynamics, the Periodic Table of Elements, molecular geometry, chemical equations, chemical equilibrium, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, acids and bases, oxidation, reduction and more.  The course will be offered at college prep or honors level. Classes will include discussion and review of the text that the student will read and study at home between classes and also labs, various activities, and quizzes. The bonus classes every other Friday will focus on mastery of the math problems and reviewing content as time allows. The time and location for this bonus class will be determined by the schedules of the students in the class (primarily so as not to conflict with Spanish classes). In order to have the best class experience, there will be a 3-student minimum for the class to be conducted.
